Scumbag System

He read enough immortal hero novels to know the drill. The hero gets bullied, snaps, goes dark, and comes back to butcher the master who made his life hell. So when Shen Yuan dies and wakes up inside Proud Immortal Demon Way, he figures he has the script memorized. Then he looks in a mirror. He is not the hero. He is Shen Qingqiu, the rotten teacher whose head is on the chopping block. Here is the joke: the original Shen Qingqiu spent years grinding his own student, Luo Binghe, into the dirt, and that kid is going to grow up very strong and very angry. So Shen Yuan decides to just be nice. Befriend the boy. No revenge, no problem. Except some invisible system is watching his every move, and the second he acts out of character it shoves him back in line. Kindness is not on the menu. So the man has to stay cruel on the outside while quietly trying to save the kid he is supposed to ruin, and the plot has a whole list of scheduled torments he is apparently required to deliver. Can he dodge his own death without becoming the monster everyone expects?
