Tsunehiro Sasaki dropped out of college, blew all his money on bad trades, and now owes people he really doesn't want to see. Then a doctor hands him a diagnosis: two years left, maybe less. So he does what any sensible person would do. He runs. Straight off a pier, into the sea, with a trio of angry creditors right behind him. Except he doesn't drown. A bunch of amateur anglers haul him out of the water, and they don't even ask why he was in it. One of them, Takaaki, keeps nagging him to work at a convenience store that somehow also sells fishing gear. Another, Hana, waves a rod in his face like it's the answer to everything. He says no. He keeps saying no. But the debts don't shrink, and the clock doesn't stop. So he takes the deal: work off what he owes, learn to fish, stick around people who seem weirdly happy to have him. A job, a few friends, a hobby he never asked for, all landing in his lap at the worst possible moment. Now the real question isn't how much time he has left. It's what he plans to do with it.
