Twelve years ago a giant nine tailed fox tore through the Hidden Leaf Village. The Fourth Hokage gave his life to stop it, sealing the beast inside a newborn boy. The village survived. The baby got a lifetime of cold stares. That baby is Naruto now, and he is not handling it quietly. He paints the faces carved into the mountain, he rigs pranks all over town, he yells that one day he will run this place as Hokage. Nobody claps. Then he gets placed on Team 7 with Sasuke, a brooding prodigy everyone adores, and Sakura, who only has eyes for Sasuke, all under Kakashi, a teacher who would rather read than look at them. Missions get real fast. Real enough that death stops being a word from a lecture. Naruto fights for every scrap of respect while Sasuke's past pulls him somewhere darker, and the team starts to crack right down the middle. Can the loudest kid in the village hold it all together, or is he about to lose the first people who ever stood beside him?
