Me & Roboco
All the kids on the block have OrderMaids now. Shiny android housekeepers that pour drinks and rub your shoulders while you sit there like a king. Bondo's friends Motsuo and Gachi Gorilla already flaunt theirs, and Motsuo's Meico is the worst kind of show-off: gorgeous, polite, perfect at everything. So Bondo nags his mom until she caves. She orders the cheapest model she can find. He waits by the door, grinning, already picturing the servant of his dreams. The box opens and out steps Roboko. A mountain of muscle. Clumsy enough to take out a wall while doing the dishes. Bondo wanted a pretty maid and got a walking demolition crew, and now he is stuck with her because the receipt is gone and his mom is not buying a second one. Meanwhile, his friends cannot stop laughing. Then something strange starts to show through the chaos: this hunk of metal is not as simple as she looks. What exactly is Roboko hiding behind all that brawn, and why does it feel like she picked Bondo on purpose?
