Episode 5 · Maerchen Maedchen

Maerchen Maedchen

Hazuki has no friends and a new family she can't talk to. So she disappears into books, so deep that she stopped seeing the line between the stories and the real world. Her mother gave her that imagination. It cost her plenty. Then a strange old text turns up in her bag. Walking it back to the library, she notices a girl nobody else seems to see. She follows her, and the shelves open into a place she thought only existed in her head. It gets better and worse from there. The original print of Cinderella has picked Hazuki as its mage, and now she's enrolled at a magic academy alongside Shizuka, the first real friend she's ever had. Magic, it turns out, does not care how shy you are. Can a girl who spent years hiding inside fairy tales survive in one?
