A high school kid who never asked for any of this gets dragged into the spirit world. Not slowly, either. One encounter and his whole life flips upside down. Turns out he is six times more sensitive to ghosts and monsters than a normal person. A walking lightning rod for everything weird. Then he meets Mechako, a girl who runs an outfit called Kaiki-gumi. They keep the old stories alive, making sure the ghosts, urban legends and things that go bump in the night don't get forgotten. But the group is a mess. The previous leader died, believers are drying up, and the old tales are fading fast. Mechako looks at this kid with his ridiculous sensitivity and offers him a spot. So now he is stuck meeting spirits, monsters and whatever else crawls out of the dark, all to stop the legends from vanishing for good. What happens when the stories people stop believing in decide to fight back?
