Rin Namiki moves to Tokyo chasing one thing: the same pro jet ski career her mother had. On the glittering water of the Kanda River she runs into Misa Aoi, another first year, and the two click fast. Then a race against Team Dress from elite Musashino Girls' High turns everything sharp and personal. Rin figures she'll just join her school's jet racing club. There isn't one. So she goes and builds her own, dragging Misa and three other girls into a crew called Kandagawa Jet Girls, with the annual Kandagawa Cup in their sights. Other duos keep showing up to challenge them, pair after pair hungry to prove who really owns the water, and every race pushes Rin and Misa closer together while testing how far they can actually go. Can a team stitched together from scratch survive long enough to reach the biggest stage of all?
