Episode 8 · Isuca

Isuca

Shinichirou Asano is broke. His parents ditched him for Europe, the money ran out fast, and now he's a high school kid who just lost his job. Rent isn't going to pay itself. Then a teacher throws him a lifeline: housekeeping work at a place that belongs to some acquaintances. Sounds simple enough. One night on his way home, a giant centipede thing jumps him. A girl with a bow saves his life, and she turns out to be Sakuya Shimazu from his school. Later he helps what he thinks is an injured girl and gets two surprises instead: she's a nekomata with two tails, and Sakuya comes from a long line of exorcists who've been hunting rogue monsters for generations. And Shinichirou? He just accidentally let that cat demon loose. Now he's stuck working off the mess, hunting down what he freed, only the arrangement comes with a catch: the Shimazu household needs a housekeeper, and he can cook and actually likes cleaning. So he moves in, surrounded by monsters, exorcism business, and a girl who can barely tolerate him. How long before the housework turns into something way more complicated?
