Utena Hiiragi is a huge fan of Tres Magia, the three magical girls who keep her town safe. She watches their fights, cheers them on, and dreams of joining their ranks. Then a strange black creature shows up and offers her exactly that: the power to transform. She says yes before it can even finish talking. The transformation works. Except there's no tiara on her head. There are horns. And the stick in her hand isn't a wand of justice, it's something dark and wrong. Turns out she just signed up with the villains, and Tres Magia is already standing in front of her, waiting. She wants to quit on the spot. No time. So she fights. And the fight feels good. Too good. Humiliating them, hurting them, it wakes something in her she never knew was there, and she stops pretending to be horrified. The fan who adored magical girls is turning into the sadist who can't wait to break them. So what happens when the person you used to cheer for becomes the one you want to hear scream?
