A human and a youkai can fall in love, and death does not have to end it. Fox spirits have worked out how to bring the human back, and a matchmaker can help them remember the life they lost. Bai Yuechu wants out from under the Yi Qi Dao League. Tushan Susu wants to be a real fox spirit, a matchmaker with a name people trust. One problem: her spiritual power is tiny, her fox charm is basically zero, and her sisters would rather watch her fail. Then Susu comes through his roof. Literally. This is her first assignment, a prince named Fan Yun Fei and a girl named Li Xueyang who has been reborn and remembers nothing. Simple, right? Except Xueyang does not want to be found, and plenty of others want these two kept apart. So a Taoist chasing his freedom and a fox with one shot to prove herself end up stuck together, fixing a love story neither of them signed up for. Along the way they might learn who they really are. Or who they were before. What happens when the matchmaker is the one who needs to remember?
