Masato Oosuki fills out a pointless survey and gets yanked into a fantasy MMO, body and all. Weird, sure. Then he finds out his mom got dragged in too. And Mamako is not standing around handing out snacks. She swings a sword with two-hit multi-target attacks that flatten everything in front of her, which would be great if Masato did not want to be the hero for once. He sulks. She beams. He complains, loudly, while she clears the field. The two of them cannot log out until they fix something the game was built to fix: a mother and son who barely talk. Along the way they pick up Porta, a merchant kid, and Wise, a sage. Buttons get pushed, feelings get bruised, and every dungeon crawl turns into a family argument with monsters in the middle. Masato wants to be taken seriously. Mamako just wants to be close to him. Those two things keep colliding in very loud ways. So the party levels up, the swords keep swinging, and the real question keeps getting harder to dodge. What happens when the game is cleared and the two of them have to go home?
