Dance Dance Danseur
Junpei Murao was a kid in the audience at his sister's recital when a male dancer walked on stage and changed everything. He went home dizzy with it. Then he quit. These days he kicks a soccer ball, throws punches in Jeet Kune Do, and plans to follow his dad into stunt work. All properly manly stuff. Ballet? He buried that where nobody could find it. Then a classmate named Miyako catches him fooling around with his friends, firing off a kick that is half martial arts and half something else entirely. She drags him to her mother's ballet studio on the spot. He says no. He keeps saying no. But the body remembers what the head tries to forget, and nothing else has ever made him feel like that stage did. So now he has a choice to make. Stick with the friends who would laugh if they knew, or chase the thing he actually wants and risk losing them. Is a dream worth that much?
