Gloria Private Academy pulls in kids from every corner of entertainment: music, art, sports, all of it. Down in the music department they do something stranger. Kids whose talent lines up with a dead composer get a "gift" transplanted into them, and from then on everyone calls them by that composer's name. One of them is a boy named Beethoven. An injury is what led them to find he was compatible in the first place. He transfers in, meets classmates carrying gifts of their own, and somewhere between rehearsals starts to actually feel what music can do. There is also a competition, and he wants to win it. But a gift with someone else's name stitched into you can start to feel less like a talent and more like a second person living under your skin. When the finals arrive, will the boy called Beethoven play as himself, or as the name he was given?
