Haruma grew up as an only child, and one bad Christmas left a hole in the family that never quite closed. His mother lost a baby that winter, the girl who would have been his little sister. That night he knelt down and asked for two things: make mom healthy again, and send him a sister. Kids say stuff like that. Then the years roll by, the house gets quiet, and Haruma forgets he ever asked. Santa doesn't forget. One Christmas, with zero warning, a package shows up at his door. Inside is a sister. A real one, alive, standing there, and somehow his. Now he has to figure out how you live with a sibling who dropped out of a wish, what his parents are supposed to say, and where this girl actually came from. She isn't a doll he can put back on a shelf, and she isn't going anywhere. So what do you do when the present you begged for as a kid actually arrives, years too late and twice as strange?
