Demon Seed rolls through Tokyo like a wrecking crew. Whole battalions of mecha, block after block, and the police just watch from behind their barricades. Nobody wants to be the first one to move. Then Maron Namikaze steps up. She is thirteen. She sings chirpy pop songs for screaming crowds, and she can also throw a mech across a street with her bare hands. The cops get one look at their new secret weapon and start building an idol career around her: costumes, photo shoots, the works. She is supposed to smile for the cameras and flatten the bad guys between rehearsals. Problem is, the girl has her own ideas about how this arrangement should work, and the top brass at police headquarters are not used to taking orders from a teenager with a microphone. Demon Seed is still out there. So who exactly is running this operation: the grown ups in uniform, or the kid with the catchy voice?
