Rintarou Tsumugi looks like trouble. Tall, scary face, and he goes to Chidori, the public high school everyone calls a nest of delinquents. He is not trouble at all. He helps out at his family's pastry shop, keeps his head down, and eats lunch with the same loyal friends every day. Then a girl walks into the shop, sees him behind the counter, and bolts without a word. Next morning she is back, red in the face, apologizing. Kaoruko Waguri. Rintarou starts counting the days until she comes by again. Then he finds out which school she attends. Kikyo Private Academy. The fancy all girls place across town, where the students are supposed to despise guys like him, and where her friends will have plenty to say about a Chidori boy hanging around. She keeps showing up anyway. So how long can the two of them keep pretending the rest of the city is not watching?
