Kazuma Hoshino is moving to the countryside with his little brother Ayumu. Doctor's orders, mostly. The city air was too rough on the kid, so their parents packed them off to a rural inn while they sort out the house back home. Simple plan. Except the brothers get on the wrong bus, get dropped in the middle of nowhere, and a wild monkey swipes Ayumu's hat. Kazuma chases it into the woods and ends up hopelessly lost. Then he meets Ui. She tries to walk him back to the bus stop, he trips, and somehow he lands right on her mouth. First kiss, total stranger, zero warning. Her friend Ibuki shows up and plants a kick in him before he can even explain. Funny thing is, Ibuki and another girl named Madoka turn out to be his new classmates. So does Ui. The innkeeper Senka isn't helping either, since she seems to enjoy watching him squirm. Between school, the girls circling him, and looking after Ayumu, Kazuma has his hands full. But something strange keeps happening. Little flashes of this village, of a childhood he barely remembers, and a friend he can't quite place. Why does this place feel so familiar when he's never been here before?
