Takuya comes home to his cat. Rika comes home to her maps. Two quiet people at a Tokyo travel agency, perfectly happy with their own company, until the boss drops the news: a new branch is opening in Alaska, and an unmarried employee is getting sent there. One year to figure something out. Then a chance meeting on a day off changes everything. They have never really talked before, but somehow the fear spills out, and Rika throws out an idea that sounds insane: what if they get engaged? Fake it, obviously. Just for 365 days. Takuya says yes. Now they have to sell it to everyone at the office while keeping the lives they actually want. The problem is that playing a couple every single day for a year is a lot of time to spend with someone. So what happens when the act starts feeling less like an act?
