The doorbell rings and there she is: a girl in a maid outfit, no name, no suitcase, asking to be his servant. Hitoyoshi Yokoya has no idea what to do with her, especially once she mentions her old job. Assassin. She lists it like any other skill, and he tries to shoo her out of the house. Then she leaves something behind, he chases her down the street, and a truck almost turns him into a stain on the pavement. Her reflexes are the only reason he is still standing. So he lets her stay. There is one problem. She cannot cook, cannot clean, cannot do anything except the one thing she was raised to do since childhood. Hitoyoshi does not kick her out. He hands her an apron instead and shows her what a normal morning looks like. She asks him for a new name, and he picks Yuki, a small thing that means more than she lets on. She keeps saying she wants to leave the old life behind. But the old life has a way of finding people, and a girl who only knows how to kill is now learning how to fold laundry. How long can a peaceful kitchen hold out against the past she is running from?
