Fuuka Esumi stands 163 centimeters tall, all long legs and grown up curves. Anyone passing her on the street would peg her for a college student. She is not. She is in elementary school, and inside that grown up body is the mind of a little kid who still thinks like a little kid. Here is the twist. Nobody around her can tell. Teachers, classmates, strangers, they all see the adult figure and jump to the obvious conclusion, and Fuuka never quite understands why people treat her the way they do. She says what a child would say. She acts the way a child would act. The misunderstandings pile up fast, and most of them land on her. So the school days turn into a mess of mixed signals. Adults expect adult things from a girl who just wants to play. Kids her own age look at her like she belongs somewhere else. Every ordinary afternoon becomes a small disaster, and Fuuka mostly just blinks and moves on. Can anyone ever see past the body and figure out who is really standing there?
