Hana Asakura just wants to be left alone. His dad is Yoh, the guy who won the last Shaman Fight and basically saved the world, and his mom Anna could stare a hole through a wall. That is a lot to live up to when you are a teenager who would rather nap than train. Then a new tournament gets announced: the Flowers of Maize. No invitation, no polite request. Hana gets dragged in, whether he likes it or not. The other kids from the old families are showing up too, and none of them are carbon copies of their parents. Some are hungry for a win. Some have grudges they never asked for. And somewhere behind the brackets, the rules of this contest look a lot less friendly than the name suggests. Hana has his father's blood and his mother's temper, but that does not mean he knows what he is doing. He can fight. He can also quit. So why is everyone acting like walking away was never on the table?
