He walked into the Demon Clan's stronghold alone and came back with a traitor's head. That was how Zichuan Xiu answered the whispers behind his back. Words never cleared his name. Only blood did. Now he commands hundreds of thousands of allied soldiers across the Far East, and the Guardian Elders of the Sacred Temple stand at his side. The crown lands on his head: the Bright King. But a title handed over by temple elders and an army stitched together from old rivals are two very different things. Somewhere in that crowd of loyal men, someone is already counting the days until the new king falls. Can a man who won every fight on his own survive the one thing he has never faced, a throne?
