Episode 3 · Night Wizard

Night Wizard

Renji Hiiragi just wants to sit in class, take notes, and get his diploma like any other kid. Instead he keeps getting yanked out of school to hunt things that crawl out of the dark. He is a Night Wizard, one of the few people standing between the world and whatever is trying to swallow it. Then comes his newest assignment: guard Elis Shiho, a transfer student who has barely unpacked her bags. Kureha, Renji's childhood friend, drags Elis to the astronomy club before she can even find her locker, and somewhere in the middle of all that the girl gets her hands on a Jewel of Kindness, one of seven hidden stones. Now she can fight too. Whether she wanted to or not. So the three of them are stuck together: a guy who would rather be doing homework, a girl who never asked for any of this, and a friend who seems way too excited about the whole thing. Something out there is hunting those seven jewels, and Elis is holding one. Can she learn what she is before the wrong people come looking for her?
