Hiroshi Karigari is a shy college kid with a soldering iron and a crush he can't say out loud. So he does the reasonable thing for an amateur mad scientist: he builds the girl. Marie comes out of the workshop with the face of the girl he's been staring at across campus, and she's supposed to be a secret. The cover story? She's his sister. Then she opens her mouth and starts asking things. Where did she come from. Why is she here. And why, exactly, does she look like that girl over there, the real one, the one Hiroshi can barely talk to. Now the duplicate and the original are in the same room, and Hiroshi has to figure out which one he actually wants, if he even gets a say. Because Marie wasn't wired to just follow orders. She's got feelings of her own, and they're pointed straight at the guy who made her. How do you tell a girl she's a copy when she's already decided she's a person?
