Shizuru sees dead people. Her little sister Mizuki doesn't, and that's somehow worse. Spirits latch onto Mizuki, drawn to something in her, and their parents finally give up and pack both girls off to their grandparents in the countryside. Nothing wrong with a quiet rural life, right? Turns out the countryside is crawling with ghosts. Shizuru can't walk down a dirt path without something tugging at her sleeve, and Mizuki keeps drifting into rooms where the air feels wrong. Between school and chores and two grandparents who have their own way of handling the strange, the sisters have to figure out how to live beside things that were never alive to begin with. Some of these encounters go fine. Some leave them stuck in situations with no easy way out. What do you do when the dead won't leave your family alone, and running away only brings you closer to them?
