Episode 12 · LBX Girls

LBX Girls

Riko is just a girl from Tokorozawa, killing time in Ikebukuro with her friend Mana, when a billboard for an LBX event catches her eye. She grabs a few model kits for her dad. Normal day. Then she opens the box marked LBX Assassin and the sky flips. She is falling through an alternate Japan, and armor builds itself around her mid drop, an exosuit shaped like the toy in her hands. It saves her life. The ground below does not feel saved at all. Because down there, metal creatures called Mimesis are eating the world, world after world, like a virus that never stops. Riko runs. Four other girls in LBX armor pull her out of the fire and, after hearing her story, hand her a spot in their squad, Soukou Musume. Five of them now, each suit wired to whatever each girl is made of inside, holding a line in a ruined city that keeps getting thinner. They fight. They lose things. They keep finding reasons to laugh anyway. But why does the rift open for a shoebox toy, and why her?
