Hozuki's Coolheadedness

Hoozuki no Reitetsu · 鬼灯の冷徹

ComedyFantasy2014Wit StudioRating 7,813+HD

Hell runs like a well oiled office. Paperwork moves, souls get processed, and nobody upstairs has a clue how much of it depends on one demon standing quietly behind the King of Hell's throne. Hoozuki handles the schedules, the negotiations, the complaints. Lord Enma mostly sits there looking imposing. Then problems start piling up. A folk hero wanders in wanting special treatment. Diplomats from the Judeo-Christian underworld show up expecting a fight. Middle managers all over the place are legendary figures from Japanese and East Asian myth, and they bicker like any other office staff. Hoozuki stays calm through all of it. That calm is the scary part. He smiles, he offers tea, and somewhere in the conversation the other side realizes they have already lost. He is a sadist with a clipboard and the patience of a man who has fired people for less. So what happens when the one demon who never loses his temper finally meets something he cannot fix with a well worded threat?
