A goddess touches every ten year old and hands out a class. Sword Princess or Archmage, whatever she picks decides the rest of your life. Arel's parents are the two most famous names in the whole business, so everyone assumes he'll walk out of that ritual with something huge. Instead the goddess gives him nothing. Classless. No skills, no future, no respect. Half the town pities him and the other half looks away. Then he figures something out. He can copy abilities from any class he wants. It just costs him ten times the work. So while other kids coast on what they were handed, Arel grinds. He trains until his body gives, studies junk nobody bothers with, and keeps going back for harder fights just to see what he can pull off. His parents' legend is the one shadow he can't outrun, and somewhere out there are people who would rather he stayed a nobody. Can a kid with no class at all catch up to the ones the goddess herself picked first?
