Gintama Season 2
Shinpachi comes home after a year away, pushes open the door of the Yorozuya, and finds two total strangers wearing his friends' faces. Gintoki and Kagura have swapped personalities, looks, everything. So he runs. And the street outside is worse. The whole city of Edo has flipped. His sister Otae is pregnant and married to Kondou, the Shinsengumi chief who used to stalk her. He joins the Shinsengumi because Otae and Kondou ask him to, and the ranks are just as scrambled. Everyone has changed except one man: Vice Chief Hijikata. So Shinpachi teams up with the one guy who still remembers how things used to be, and the two of them try to put their city back the way it was. What if the only person who remembers your old life is the one who never wanted to talk to you?
