Hayate keeps scrubbing floors, dodging homework, and taking punches for a girl who owns half the city. Same mansion, same school, same endless bad luck. Then the second season picks up right where the first one left off, and suddenly the girls around him stop being background noise. Ayumu, the normal one, the friend from before all this, starts hanging around more, and she is not subtle about what she wants. Hinagiku runs the student council, keeps her cool in every crisis, and absolutely refuses to admit why her face goes red whenever he walks in. Nagi, meanwhile, still thinks their whole relationship runs on a misunderstanding from day one, so she keeps pushing forward without ever actually saying anything out loud. Three girls, one clueless butler, and a schedule that was already packed with explosions and odd jobs. So who cracks first: the one who chases him, the one who denies everything, or the one who owns the house he lives in?
