Demetrios paints vases in Ancient Greece, and he is terrible at keeping his head when things go wrong. So when the local big shot orders him to invent a whole new sport to beat a rival city at the Olympics, he panics and hides inside a giant vase. Bad move. A bolt of lightning hits, and he wakes up in Tokyo, 1964, right as the city is getting ready to host the Summer Games. A local family takes him in and figures he is just some odd foreigner. They have no idea. Every time lightning strikes again, Demetrios gets yanked back home, but he never comes back empty handed. He brings bits of the modern world with him, and slowly the guy who used to cower starts talking back, impressing the people who once mocked him. Now he has a village to win over, a sport to create, and his own games to pull off. But the sky keeps flashing, and every trip between eras leaves him a little less sure of where he actually belongs. When the next bolt comes, will he even want to go back?
