The world is stuck in a dark century, and people live under the thumb of a devil named Vandel who bends monsters to his will. Only the Vandel Busters fight back. Best of them all: the Zenon Squad, five fighters nobody on the continent can touch. A kid named Beet wants in. He gets his wish in the worst way possible. Because of his screwup, the squad falls to the devil Beltose. Dying, the five pour their life force into their weapons, the Saiga, and hand them to a boy who is still just a boy. Then they are gone. Years pass. Beet grows up carrying five dead warriors on his back, one weapon for each of them, and a promise he made to Zenon before the man closed his eyes. End the dark century. No small ask when the whole world is crawling with devils and the monsters do whatever Vandel tells them. Every fight he picks brings him closer to the beast that killed his heroes. It also brings him closer to the truth of what he cost them that day. What happens when a kid has to become the strongest buster alive just to make good on a promise to the dead?
