Ayumu Tanaka was a kendo champ in middle school. So of course he joins the shogi club in high school. The unofficial shogi club, with exactly two members and zero official status. He isn't there for the board. He's there for Urushi Yaotome, the club president, because he took one look at her and that was it. His plan is simple: he won't confess until he beats her in a real match. Fair and square. One problem. Two members isn't enough to make it official, and Urushi wants more people. Ayumu would honestly be fine keeping her all to himself, but he can't stand seeing her worry, so he starts recruiting. Which means inviting other guys to sit in the room where he's trying to win her heart. How long can he keep losing before she figures out what he's really after?
