The Starish boys get split into brand new teams, and there is no time to sulk about it. Shining Saotome dangles the prize in front of them: impress him, and they get into SSS, the contest every idol in the business would kill to stand on. So the schedule fills up fast. A stage play here, a commercial shoot there, a thousand and one photo sessions until the camera flashes start to blur together. Each guy has to dig for something he never showed anyone before. Then comes the part nobody saw coming. The competition is not some faceless rival group. It is their own seniors, the ones they have been looking up to since day one. Quartet Night, polished and impossible to read, and Haruka gets paired with them while the boys she usually writes for have to survive without her. She is still cheering for them from the other side of the studio, still pushing them toward higher ground, but hands off the sheet music, and everyone feels it. So the real question is not whether Starish can win SSS. It is whether they can grow into something new without the one person who always held their sound together, and whether Haruka can do the same surrounded by men she barely knows. What happens when the idols you admire most become the wall you have to climb?
