Hina's first meeting with Koyuki is a disaster. She's a middle school kid, he's an upperclassman, and everything goes wrong. Then he smiles at her, and her heart just stops cooperating. She has no idea what to do with that feeling until it hits her: this is love, the first time. So she studies hard to get into Sakuragaoka High, the same school as her brother Yuu and Koyuki. She gets in, and her childhood friend Kotarou gets in too. Kotarou is loud and easy to read, but under all that noise he just wants Hina to keep smiling. He has no clue why. Meanwhile Koyuki spent his summer break changing his whole look for a girl who doesn't love him back, and now half the school is staring at him. Perfect timing for Hina to finally say something. She's ready. Or she thinks she is. But every confession in this story pulls at other people's threads, and some of them are about to snap.
