Tentai Senshi Sunred

Comedy2008AIC ASTARating 7,713+HD

Sunred is broke, rude, and spends his days at the pachinko parlor while his girlfriend Kayoko pays for everything. He is also the only thing standing between the city of Kawasaki and the evil organization Florsheim. Sounds like a normal setup for a hero, right? Except General Vamp, the big boss he is supposed to destroy, is polite, tidy, and a better cook than anyone in the neighborhood. He swaps housekeeping tips with Kayoko while Sunred sulks in the corner. The monsters are no better. They scheme for world domination and then go grocery shopping. Sunred drags himself out to fight them anyway, mostly because someone has to, and because beating up well-meaning weirdos is the only job he has left. Every episode is a pile of tiny shorts about these people just living their lives: cooking, arguing, plotting, loafing around. So if the bad guys are this nice and the hero is this much of a mess, who exactly is protecting Kawasaki from whom?
