A fifteen year old boy has one very specific type: older women. So when his teacher, the woman he has been quietly pining after, announces she is getting married to someone else, Tomonori walks home with his heart dragging on the pavement. Then he opens his front door. Sitting there like she owns the place is a twelve year old girl named Rizel. She is not a cousin, not a neighbor, not a mix up at the hospital. The Japanese government has married her to him, papers signed, no permission asked, and his parents are already nodding along. Why? Because Rizel is a biochemically engineered girl, and the men who built her, who call themselves her papas, offered to wipe out the family's mortgage, a debt that would have taken them thirty years to pay, in exchange for letting her move in. So now Tomonori shares a house with a wife he never asked for, one who is three years younger than him, nowhere near human, and has a whole team of scientists watching from the sidelines. He still has a crush on his teacher. She still has a ring on her finger. What exactly is a fifteen year old boy supposed to do with a wife who was built in a lab?
