Hayato Kirishima comes back to the town he grew up in after years away, and almost right away he runs into Haruki Nikaido. Mud fights, scraped knees, all of it comes flooding back. Back then Haruki was just one of the guys, a loud kid he figured was a boy. Then she moved away.
