Ochibi-san
In a quiet corner of Kamakura, in a little town called Mametsubu-cho, a small creature named Ochibi-san has figured out how to live easy. Days pass with his dog friend Nazeni, a mischievous kitten named Jack and Pankui, a dog who is always hungry. Spring means flowers to look at. Summer means a dip in the water. Then the leaves start falling, and winter brings food worth waiting for. But Ochibi-san says something strange for someone so carefree: he can help you laugh, yet he cannot wipe away the tears you have already cried. That line sits under all the swimming and leaf collecting like a stone in a shoe. Around him, every season drags up new encounters, discoveries, small things he did not expect to find. So the year rolls on, and the question stays put. Is Ochibi-san really just enjoying himself out there, or is he quietly carrying something he will never hand off to anyone else?
