Episode 2 · Music Girls

Music Girls

Eleven girls, one tiny label, and sales numbers that keep bleeding red. Pine Records stuck them in C-class, which is a polite way of saying nobody is buying. Producer Ikebashi knows the math. He also knows the girls keep showing up to practice anyway, so he floats an idea that could save them or finish them: an open audition. One new face, picked to shake the whole thing loose. That face belongs to Hanako Yamadagi, and she walks in without a clue about what she is stepping into. Now eleven becomes twelve, and the room gets louder, messier, harder to hold together. Ikebashi is betting everything on a girl nobody has heard of, while the veterans have to figure out whether she is the push they needed or the reason their last shot slips away. Can a group that cannot sell a single hold on to the one person meant to change that?
