A mini-helicopter cuts across the water toward Drifting Island, with Lupin, Jigen and Goemon crammed inside, chasing a treasure nobody can quite point to on a map. It sits somewhere in the territory of Zufu, a small country that used to be prosperous before a knife-collecting brute called General Headhunter took it over. The island does not hand anything over easily. A security system kicks in the moment they set foot there, and it goes by the name Nanomachine. Fujiko, as always, is already working her own angle, hacking straight into the General's computer for anything useful. Zenigata gets a video from Lupin announcing, loud and proud, that he means to have the treasure. A blond officer named Oleander steps in to help him, though she is carrying secrets she has not shared with anyone. Then comes the part that changes the whole game: the key to the island's defenses is not a code or a machine at all. It is the dictator's own daughter. So the crew heads back to Drifting Island with a new plan, a kidnapping, and the General's men closing in right behind them. Can they get the girl to talk before Headhunter gets to them first?
