Arsène Lupin III is the grandson of a legendary crook, and he has spent his whole life making sure the name still means something, cracking the kind of heists that end up on every front page. He does not work alone, either. Daisuke Jigen hangs back with a gun and a sour expression, Goemon the thirteenth wanders in with a sword when it suits him, and somewhere in the middle of all of it there is Fujiko Mine, who smiles at Lupin right before she takes off with whatever they just stole. Inspector Zenigata of the ICPO has chased him across continents for years, and every single time the handcuffs come out empty. But the real problem was never the police. It is the woman. Fujiko drifts between ally and thief with the same lazy grin, and Lupin can never figure out which side of the job she is on until the safe is already open and she is gone. Jigen tells him to walk away. He never does. So what happens when the one person you keep trusting is the one you should not?
