God Eater

By 2071 the Aragami have eaten their way across the planet, and bullets do nothing to them. Tanks, missiles, every conventional weapon humanity tried: useless. What is left of the human race huddles behind the walls of Fenrir, an organization that exists for one reason only, to fight back with the one thing that can actually cut an Aragami open. That thing is a God Arc, a weapon built from the cells of the monsters themselves, and the only people who can hold one are the God Eaters. Lenka Utsugi is one of them. He is a New-Type, and his God Arc shifts between blade and gun depending on what the fight demands. Sounds like a clean advantage. It is not. Wielding that weapon means carrying a piece of the enemy inside your own body, and if you cannot control it, it controls you. Lenka wants every last Aragami dead, and he wants it badly enough to risk whatever the Arc is quietly doing to him. Fenrir keeps sending him out because he is one of their best, and the monsters keep coming, born faster than anyone can count. He has to master the weapon before it masters him, and the clock is not on his side. How much of yourself can you trade away before there is nothing human left to save?
