Kou Yamori stopped going to school. He is fourteen, bored, and can't sleep, so he walks the empty streets at night instead. Then he meets Nazuna Nanakusa, a strange girl who tells him people stay up because they hate how they spent their day. She invites him home. They share a futon. He pretends to doze off, and that is when she bites his neck. Nazuna is a vampire, and Kou thinks the bite is his ticket out of a dull life. It isn't that easy. To turn, he has to be bitten by someone he actually loves. So he picks a goal: make himself fall for Nazuna. Does she want him to succeed, or is she happy to keep him human and keep the nights exactly as they are?
