Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls
Ten years of quiet. The Iga and Kouga clans buried the old blood feud and settled into peace, and Hachirou Kouga and Hibiki Iga, heirs to both bloodlines, grew up close enough to fall in love. Their parents' generation had paid for that peace with corpses, so nobody wanted to poke at it. Then the rumors started. Different versions of how Gennosuke and Oboro really died, spreading further every year, and Tadanaga Tokugawa, the man the Kouga once served, doesn't like any of them. Somewhere in the shadows a group nobody has ever seen decides civil war sounds better than order, and they start clearing away obstacles one by one. The last obstacle is two ninja clans. Old grudges get dragged back into the daylight, and the two heirs find themselves standing on opposite sides of a fight they never asked for. Hachirou and Hibiki want the same simple thing their predecessors wanted. Will history let them have it this time?
