The Anti-Magic Academy trains Inquisitors, soldiers who stop magical threats before they spill into the streets. Students get divided into small squads, and the 35th Test Platoon is the one nobody talks about. The Small Fry Platoon. That is the nickname, and it fits. Their captain, Takeru Kusanagi, trips over his own sword. The rest of them bicker more than they train. Then Ouka Ootori walks through the door. A former Inquisitor, talented, feared, called the Bloody Princess of Calamity. She did not request this transfer. She ignored orders, walked off a mission, and killed a witch, so the academy stripped her rank and dumped her here. She takes one look at her new squad and makes her opinion clear. Takeru tries to lead, she refuses to follow. She has her own beliefs about witches, and the others push right back. So now a squad that cannot agree on anything has to climb the rankings, and Ouka has to share a room with the guy she keeps insulting. Can the Bloody Princess stand beside the Small Fry Platoon, or will she burn it down first?
