A sword god was maimed and left to rot in the mountains. The Wuji Sword God once stood at the very top, until the Changsheng Sword God pulled strings and cut him down. He survived. He hid. For more than ten years nobody heard a word from him, and the Jiang Dynasty went on admiring its blades and its ancient dueling traditions like nothing happened. Then his only student turns of age. Zhan Yibai packs up the master's own sword, gets a quick order to reach the Sword God level fast, and walks straight into a world he knows nothing about. Two friends latch onto him: Jiang Mingyue, the emperor's daughter, and Li Kuang, second son of the Prince of Zhennan. Together they sign up for the Ancient Dynasty Ruins trial, mostly because Zhan Yibai needs to get stronger before somebody stronger finds him first. A stolen title. A grudge that never faded. And a kid carrying a legendary blade he barely knows how to use. What happens when the man who ruined his master learns the old sword is back in circulation?
