Demons broke the world six thousand years ago. Seventy two demon gods tore through, humanity's reign collapsed overnight, and what was left of the survivors huddled behind the Alliance of Temples, a shield that has held the line ever since. Not peace. Just a pause. Nine year old Long Hao Chen wants into the Knight Temple Hall more than anything. He grinds through the exam and makes it, thanks to his own stubbornness and a few friends who refuse to let him fail alone. Then his teacher Long Xing Yu puts him through the Holy Resurrection Ritual, a test meant to measure what a recruit is really made of. What it finds inside the boy is light. A lot of it. Enough that his teacher stops seeing a student and starts seeing a weapon. Long Xing Yu wants a knight strong enough to stand beside him against the Demon Lord, and he says so out loud. So now the kid trains for a war that has been waiting six thousand years, with demons on one side and everyone's hopes piled on his small shoulders. Can a nine year old really grow into the one who ends the age of darkness, or is he just the latest name on a very long list?
