Five seeds got out. Stolen from a vault in Evergreen, smuggled down to Earth, and now they are burrowing into ordinary people and turning them into something else. Natsuki, an agent of the Queen, gets sent to collect them. One problem: he can't do it alone. So he goes to Chihaya, a middle school girl, and tells her she is the only one who can help. She transforms into Magical Warrior Carmine and fights to pull the seeds out of the people they have taken over. That should be the whole arrangement. It isn't. Chihaya's mother seems to already know everything about Evergreen and its secrets, which makes no sense for someone who was never supposed to be involved. Chihaya also remembers her father, even though he died before she was born. And at night she keeps dreaming about Evergreen, a place she has never set foot in. Natsuki is hiding more than a few answers, her mother is clearly keeping something, and every seed she pulls out of a stranger brings her closer to a past that does not add up. So who is Chihaya, really, and why does a world she has never seen already know her name?
