Outside Liuxian City, Lin Feng grows up with nothing and no one. No parents, no name worth mentioning. Just past the village of Wu sits a forest people call the crying ghosts, and nobody with sense walks into it. He does, by accident, and what he finds in a cave stops him cold: an ice coffin, and inside it, a woman. Beautiful. Still. He pries it open. That is when the trouble really begins. Ying Taiyue wakes up after who knows how long, and she notices something odd about this scrappy kid. His body can hold the sacred relics of the Hongmeng Demon Race, something no human should survive. So she makes him swallow one. Then she walks off and leaves him to deal with it. His skin starts to change, things start sprouting from him, little spirit shoots that look almost harmless, and the village of Wu is not done with its ghosts either. He is an orphan who suddenly has more power than he asked for, and everyone around him seems to want a piece of it. So what does a kid like that do when the haunted place he stumbled into comes looking for him?
